Upload Failures, Time-Outs, Speedtest.net follies...

Hya Gang!
The last several times I have uploaded photos, I have been extremely pleased with Smugmug's system!
I currently have a total of 1,400+ that I must upload. (I use Roadrunner High-Speed:rofl through Time Warner Cable/AOL).
Last night, after about 30 minutes, using Smug's Fast and Easy, Simple and Quick upload tool, I realized that nothing was moving except for the little graphic that says things are moving.
So I canceled the upload to find that 6 photos had timed out, (three at a time--and if they were three at a time and they all timed out, how did the six photos actually appear in the gallery?), so I went to the gallery to find that the photos had been uploaded from extremely different areas of my upload file--like IMG_0014, IMG_8240, IMG_0335...
Anyway, I deleted the pics that somehow uploaded, went to My Pictures and created a Smaller Folder to split the collection for the upload so I that I could add photos incrementally in case that would provide acceptable results.
I saw the indication that the estimated time of the smaller upload was about seven and a half hours.
This morning, I see that 25 of the 350+ file had actually uploaded. A small box was hanging in the lower right of the screen, saying that my memory was low, and that my computer was adjusting for it.
Which has not happened for something like Two Years, and currently, just as before the upload attempts, there is no indication whatsoever of Low Memory.
So I tried to upload some more, just to see what would happen.
Another 15 photos uploaded, but it took about 45 minutes.
I went to the link provided in Smugmug Help to do a Speed Test to find that apparently, Speedtest.net thinks that Winston-Salem, North Carolina is somewhere near Topeka, Kansas--And that the server Speedtest.net believes best addresses my needs is in San Jose, California.
I dug deeper into Speedtest.net to see that They Also Believe We Are In Maryland.
My Global Speed Rating is 47%, and my Local Speed Rating is 32%.
I have no idea if they think that by "local", they mean Here or Topeka or Maryland--But Wherever they think I am, well...
Does anyone have any experience with Speedtest.net and their extremely odd information?
(BTW, they also think I am on AOL Dial-Up, which is not true, and my AOL connection ranks 2.4 out of 5, which probably speaks for itself).
So I guess I have two questions:
How can I possibly upload more than 15 photos in less than 45 minutes?
And--Are Smugmug and Speedtest.net actually related to the point where bad information by Speedtest negatively affects Smugmug users?
Thank Youse Very Much!:thumb

This will be more useful: Would you mind running a line quality test for us? You go here:
http://www.dslreports.com/linequality
Sign up and run the test. Registration there is free. After you run the test, copy the link to the results for us. That will let us know if there is an issue with the line preventing photos from arriving to our servers. Post the link to the results when you get them.
Need a link to your site, please, also.
EDIT: Support Heroes tell me you've been handled from the help desk, please - you only need to do one or the other - posting on Dgrin and writing help means we do double work

Thanks for replying, Andy;
It's like there are Nine of you, every time an issue arises.
I'll go with the Desk, thanks.
I apologize for creating extra work.
