I can't believe this is my 1000th post! I just joined in June and already feel a kinship with all the members here. Thank you for making this such a fun and educational forum. :clap :clap :clap

    You are certainly prolific! :D Your photography is fantastic, and your kind and insightful feedback is much appreciated. Plus it's always good to learn (or be reminded of) some of the great spots here in Washington.

    Also, great shot of the needle on New Years. Seems like whenever I'm there there's a ton of smoke that muddies up the shot, like this:

    I agree with everything that has already been said and would like to add a personal thank you for welcoming and encouraging me here on the forum. Your comments are always greatly appreciated.

    I couldn't afford he fireworks but found something else in my archive that might work. Props were cheap and ready to hand - lamp (courtesy of the council), tree (planted by the council) and rain (comes free courtesy of the Atlantic)

    Mahesh, what a coincidence! I was looking at another thread of yours and was just thinking to myself, "DAMN, this guy's been here a month and has over 1,100 posts!"

    Then I saw this thread. :D

    How do you do it? It's a wonder you ever have time to shoot anything. Something tells me you don't sleep a whole lot, lol.

    Anyway, keep up the amazing work as always.
