what happened to my 'arrange galleries' button...?

I have galleries arranged in categories. I manually set up the category to arrange the galleries alphabetically (by choosing title). I have to do this every time I add a new gallery, because the new galleries are put at the bottom. This morning, inexplicably to me anyway, my arrange galleries is no longer visible....anyone know what's up with that? Also, my galleries are all out of order.

    Hi Dalynn,

    In your Gallery Categories box, in the upper left corner, make sure you have your galleries set to be sorted by Position. If I'm looking at the right site, you have the galleries set to be sorted by Most Recent. If you click Position, then you can use the Arrange link.

    Thank you so much...that did solve the prob. I am a bit confused why the arrangement of the categories affects the gallery order...but I did what you suggested and the arrange Gallery button did 'appear' again....so THANK YOU very much!

    If you have the categories set to sort by Most Recent, the subcategories and galleries below will also be sorted by Most Recent.

    When you change the sorting to Position, you can arrange the categories, subcategories and galleries. So if the gallery order changed when you chose Position instead of Most Recent, it's just that the galleries are no longer being forced into sorting by the date they were updated. The arrange link will let you organize the galleries. :)

    I want to re-arrange some of my galleries. I have older galleries that I did not set a 'feature' photo for, and now I want upload a new image to set as the gallery cover. I want to keep the galleries in their current chronological order, but the old ones jump to the beginning when I upload the new feature photo.

    Is there a way to re-arrange the galleries by date created rather than date updated?

    Pick your choice under "Quick Sort".

    Thanks Allen, I have found how to use that sorting tool within a gallery, by the "Tool" menu, then "Arrange> Sort"
    But I the "Tool" menu only has "Account Settings, View Stats, and Easy Customizer" when I'm at the category level.

    Thanks again! I have it all sorted out now. I didn't realize I had to do it from my homepage.

    The initial setting for "arrange" has to be done from the main category/gallery box. Either on the
    homepage or any dup homepage showing the box. After this, every cat and sub-cat box will have the
    "arrange" enabled.
