From my 3 hour trip to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest a couple weekends ago.

Feedback greatly appreciated! Thank you for looking!

***EDIT***

The above image is through photobucket... they tend to squish my images. Here is the image as it should look.

Again all comments are appreciated. Thanks!

The colors and comp are beautiful, Christina! I think the camera focused on the clouds as they are crisp but the earth is OOF. Is this correct?

    Christina,
I love it! Great colors, lovely light! thumb.gif
For some reason the image looks very soft, though...

15524779-Ti.gif great colors and I'm sure they are very true to life in such an awesome geological location!

Thanks! Part of the problem was where I had the image hosted. I added a new link above. I only manual focus, so I might have been a little off. Please let me know if the second one looks better.

The second one does look better but the earth below the sky is still a bit soft. Can you share the EXIF

Thank you schmoo! It is a hybrid, but most of the OOF problem was with photobucket. That's the last image I ever host there!

Thanks! I wish I had a day or two to stay there! This is the second time this year I have made an unplanned visit there. Each time I've had less than 2 hours there. :cry

The 2nd shot is better with improved contrast and colors. thumb.gif The earth is sharper, but still a little soft.

Second one certainly is sharper but still looks soft. Agree with Dan, the EXIF would be useful.

Gorgeous shot.... comp, colors are great. It looks a tad soft (#2), but not too much.

Yup, Photobucket really does a number sometimes. I'm slowly but surely moving away from it myself.
