Graduated filter in ACR
I've stumbled onto a tool that can help a bunch with blown highlights in clothing and background/forground.
In ACR the tool is called the Graduated Filter. Works just like a graduated filter you would attach to the front of your lense. You set the points by dragging them, then you set your adjustments.

I think the light fall off helps the subject stand out more...
