The light and colors on the second are great. Agree on the first. Some haloing around the edges of the lighthouse. I'm wondering if you darkened the sky very slightly if that would help bring out the lighthouse even more.
Ditto on the halo in #1--it is just a bit distracting, but I really like the comp. That second shot is simply superb in mood, comp and colors--but I had to look to find the lighthouse.

Wow...Thanks for all the comments.... I agree with not being able to see the light house in the second picture...I also agree with the Halo...I blended two images in Photosho for the second picture...took one sky exposure and one ground exposure....I am going to try and fix it...It was my first attempt at blending two shots.

I really like the first shot, but probably would have opted to find a vantage point that would have excluded the bench--as it has too much subject prominence IMHO and takes away from the lighthouse (unless you were including it to communicate or reinforce a certain mood). Still a great shot. Thanks for sharing.
