NASCAR at Pocono
Made another visit to the big triangle track in the Poconos to see the NASCAR boys in action. Friday we had on and off rain (more on then off...) so I didn't get too much shooting done. Saturday was beautiful weather, got to shoot both Cup practice sessions and the ARCA race. Sunday was a total washout, but again, Monday was just about perfect, and the postponed race went off without a problem.
Since I had shot most of these guys here in June, I worked on a few different things. I set up shop at the entrance to pit road, where I could watch the cars come off Turn 3 and head down the front stretch or come into the pits. I played a little with some panning shots...

#4 From my vantage point, I also get to see some of the "action" off of Turn 3 - Michael Waltrip spun and bounced through the wet grass on Friday...
#5 Tony Stewart spun and hit the wall coming out of the turn on Saturday.
#6 Also tried a "speed shot" at the start/finish line.
#7 Checking race tires
#8 From Monday's race - I think Waltrip is glad to be done with Pocono for the season!
#9 Some fine adjustments with a 10 pound sledge
#10 Smoking out of the pits
#11 It was uncharacteristically rough on track today!
#12 Denny Hamlin survived the carnage to take his first win of the season.
Thanks for looking! C&C welcome
