MyCanvas books, any experience?

I've tried Shutterfly photo books and Blurb... I preferred Shutterfly, but as I pay for smugmug pro services it might be nice to keep my book gallery there. They have partnered with MyCanvas in addition to Blurb. I'm getting ready to do a major book of my kids over the past 4 years. Anyone used both MyCanvas and Shutterfly? At first glance, the layouts at MyCanvas seem very flexible, but how is the final print quality of the book? I felt Blurb didn't measure up to Shutterfly.

TIA
-Jack

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

MyCanvas will give you 30% off a proof book, but I haven't ordered my proof book yet. I've designed it, just need to kick myself into gear to spend the money on a proof book.... I was looking at their premium albums. Let me know what you think of them if you order one!

Well here's one thing... shutterfly's price for a 12x12" book is $55 for 20 pages, $1.50 per additional page. MyCanvas's price for a 14x11" book is $60 for 20 pages, $0.79 per additional page. So a 50 page book would cost $100 at shutterfly, $83.70 at MyCanvas. A 100 page book would cost $175 at shutterfly, $123.20 at MyCanvas.
