Slowing Speed of Show Off Slideshow

First, many kudos to SmugMug. You are doing so many things right! Now to my question. I love the slideshow embed on the Show Off menu, and I'm using it plenty. But some of the series I'm showing off need to move way faster than the default. I want to set the speed myself and not rely on the user to select "fast." (I don't think "fast" is fast enough for some of the series.) Is there some way to do this that I'm missing? If not, I hereby submit it as a feature request. Thanks!

Bob

I'm not aware of any parameters for the slideshow that will make it go faster. I'm not sure why Andy sent you to the slideshow doc page because there aren't any parameters there to make it go faster. This is a common request.

Can't the transitions be done faster?

Yes, but I don't think that changes the slide-to-slide time at all, just the transition time as it blends from one to the next. I don't think that's what the OP was asking for.

    transition speed vs. slideshow speed
I'm with jfriend. The only parameter I can find to tweak is the transition speed, but that doesn't alter the overall slideshow speed, and what I need is the capability of moving much faster from slide to slide.

I agree with the last two posts as well, but would like to be able to speed mine up as well.

This particular problem is one reason why I find the slideshows useless. I'd love to embed a slideshow on my blog but I find them infuriatingly slow so I don't.

The other major issue is the huge buttons and thumbnails that encroach on the images in obnoxious ways. I realize that they can be removed but then you have no way to go back and forth through the images.

It seems like it should be a very simple thing to change the speed of the slides... there has to be a line of code somewhere that dictates this, right?
