Hello all I was shooting in Manual the other day which I have been practicing since I see the HUGE advantage but I felt so stupid at the same time because I had to constantly change sittings due to background light change. I may sound dumb right about now but I didn't realize how amazing the Booookeeeaa! gets geez...
So My question to you all what sittings should I have used to avoid my subjects not getting all blurred out too much? So say I had my Focal point on my subjects faces it looked out of focus. I hope I'm making sense.
Thank you I appreciate your critique etc :clap
#1 This was an example of what I mean.
#2 One of my fav's from this session
#3 I cropped this one do you think it looks lame?
#4 Yeah I think I'm in some tilt faze right now :dunno
#5
#6 I know the faces are way to dark on this one.

Size of DOF, motion blur, or just focusing on the wrong thing are the primary causes for OOF pictures.
Critiques:
This is a nice series, I'm going to nitpick -
1) focus problem, slightly tilted, need to crop out whatever that is on the bottom left
2) slight tilt
3) I don't like the composition. They seem like an after-thought to the door
4) Lots of white areas completely blown out. I don't like crooked pictures but if you're going to do one this is the right kind of shot for it!
5) Nice composition and idea. Slightly tilted, need to crop out the guy on the right, need to recover some depth in the sky (blown out)
6) I love the idea of this shot! You're right that the faces need to be brightened. Also, the sky needs to be darkened/recovered. If you shot this in RAW you can make this an incredible capture.
