...the OP came here asking how to deal with a photo usage that was outside of his agreement with the client ( which is in essence an infringement of his copyright), and has shown a very poor understanding of copyright, registration of copyright, and the importance of a written contract...
Sheesh-- cut me some slack. This seems pretty axiomatic. I came here seeking advice and asked some questions. I'm trying to learn here. I thought that was the purpose of forums like this.

Dogwood, that's what I was trying to do, cut you some slack! None of us know everything, we are all here to learn. It' s not a slam on you that you don't have a good understanding of copyright, registration, and contracts. I'll bet you have much better understanding of those issues now!
My remarks were in response to Angelo trying to stop the discussion about copyright, stating that your situation had nothing to do with infringement.

This circumstance is not about copyright infringement. The OP had a contract with his client stipulating the allowable use."
I felt that your stituation had everything to do with copyright issues, that your client infringed your copyright by using your photos in additional media without your knowledge or permission, and that you and other readers could benefit from this discussion.
I think if you go back and read my post you will see that I was not slamming you at all, just trying to keep the doors to the discussion open.
