    An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

    Maybe I'm not explaining myself very well. I wasn't using a tripod on the photo's that I was unhappy with. The only time I used the tripod was of the flower shot, which turned out fine, but not any different than the kit lens. I was taking typical snapshots in my backyard of my dog testing out the new lens when I realized that they were not very sharp and I'm $1200 lighter in the wallet.
