There's a story in that shot alright, something I've know since I was a kid. Rabbits are good eating (prepared a little differently than that hawk's meal of course). rolleyes1.gif

    Nice one Jeff. thumb.gif

I like the chain it used to keep the rabbit (feet) close..

    Nice.
I think it should be called "feet" and not foot as I see two (at least in the first shot).

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

that is very close to what I was lookng at
The reason I only took 2 shots was ---- I was going home very late in the day, I went into this tree line to water a tree not take pictures. It is over grown here as you can see, fallen trees etc. As I walked up 2 of 3 juv coopers hawks blew up off of the ground in front of me. The one without the rabbit almost took my hat off. The other made an almost 360 turn and landed in front of me .[I was playing with them early in the day and have lots of perched shots] Anyway --the trees and plants were between me and the shot so I moved my upper body and camera over and took 2 shots [very bad angle but if not that then no shot]
If I had moved in and stepped into the little down hill that was next to me or around the tree in front of me. The hawk may have flown again and lost it's meal. There is not a photo worth that, the people that move in and in, on an animal that has made a kill and force it to leave it behind are ---well Harry will not let me post the words or a photo of what they are.deal.gif

I will always keep the original I deleted the shot here, so making it 100% I just did the 90% for posting thumb.gif

    Never! :D

I liked your explanation...makes perfect sense. If you had stated such in the OP I would have looked for something else to complain about! wings.gif
