Really nice composition but the color of the sky kind of bothers me. I'd be interested to see what this looks like with a more pinkish sky or maybe even some cooler tones. I obviously wasn't there but with all the stagnant air we've had recently, I wouldn't be surprised if this is how it actually looked.

Was this from your Point of Arches trip or a more recent one that I don't know about?

I'm liking it. Nicely composed great telephoto work and a very unique shade of red.

It looks like a tradition Chinese painting. Very pleasing to look at. I'm envious of this shot, which is getting to be a regular thing with you images. :bluduh rolleyes1.gif Great work, Mahesh.

I love it Mahesh, there's kind of a Yin Yan feel to it, with the moon down on the left and the tree on the upper right. Great colors, and no noise!

Thanks, everyone! This image has become my new favorite image. I love the simplicity and (dare I say it) elegance of it. My wife loves it also (which is more important to me than anything :D). I shot this with heavy underexposure to really bring out the red color in the sky. The color is pretty much as I saw it. I focused on the FG tree and cliff, sacrificing sharpness on the moon. I could have double exposed, but somehow, I really like the "natural" slight OOF appearance of the full moon. There must have been a thin layer of clouds present on the horizon also, because there is a slight glow around the moon, which I also really, really like. Overall, I'm very happy with the way this turned out, and I'm glad y'all enjoyed it also.

Danny, I promise the colors of the sky was pretty close to what you see here.
