No matter what, though, I'm keeping my EYE out for snow. This guy's helping me.

Great shots! thumb.gif The shot of the kids with the antlers was particularly engaging. :D Glacier NP?
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Thanks, these were in Banff and Jasper (many...specifically Jonas Shoulder). For such a beautiful place, I wanted more, but it was hard with my brothers family and my littlest brother along. Fending for 3 kids, two women takes it out of you on top of full days hiking, especially when I had to go back and get my moms pack (i.e. lets hike this pass twice)!

There are a couple photos from a short hike I did to Mount Rainier yesterday...mixed in...also.

No problem. She definitely appreciated it, especially after 6 days on the move.

Incredible series. I loved each one of them. Kudos for making such great captures while on the trail. And for carrying mom's pack.

The last photo is interesting as it is mind-boggling to me that you are negotiating this stream by using it as a trail -- and it is a great photo as well! How far did your group hike?

It was just 50 or 60 miles, something the niece and nephew could do at 7 and 11 (and brother age 11). As for the stream, although I have hiked ones before, this was just a long crossing. There were a dozen or more along the way.

Welcome to the other 6 months of the year! :D

Wonderful wide open spaces and scenery. Makes me want to go out hiking. But then I look outside and there's clouds everywhere. Damn it.

Anyway, great set! Your snow shots are awesome so it's good to see you branching out :D

Great series. #3 is my favorite. I can't believe that those little kids went on such a long hike. How did they hold up?

I love the vintage kid photos!! :ivar

You were certainly born to be up on top of a mountain. I'm surprised you don't just set up a second residence somewhere :D
