Id

What do you guys think this is?? I started looking through my books & then alot of them started to look the same to me:dunno Keep in mind this is SE wisconsin....i thought the eyes looked like a flycatcher.or warbler??

    Not sure on this one Dave! It is a juvi though! I was thinking along the lines of an Oriole. My guess is the parent would have been nearby and that would help with the ID.

    hmm... it was smaller like a warbler..& I didn't see any orioles around..this was out in a praire or field but there were alot of trees near by. It was mostly messing around it bushy trees but poked out onto a apple tree to check me out.

    I don't know what it is....but I do know they are both fine shots with the first being the better IMO.thumb.gif

    Well, I was captivated by your title, thinking I was going to see something from the dark recesses of our minds. Then I saw two great bird photos and realized that Id and ID are spelled the same... 11doh.gif

    Hi Dave, I went through my Thayers guide and this seems to be a Yellow Warbler, juvenile. Has all the markings that I can see. Nice captures. We see these birds around here a lot.
