I just got a Nikon MH-19 dual battery charger and had a question for anyone in the know. I searched for a manual on the interwebs but came up empty.

Anyone know exactly what the 'refresh' button does on it? I assume it is a recycle or deep charge function but unsure. Thanks for any help :D

According to Rob Galbraith, "... Nikon's MH-16 charger ... Refresh function is a battery conditioner. It first discharges the battery to a specified minimum voltage, then charges it up again ..."

    Hi,

You can download a PDF instruction manual for the MH-19 from Nikon USA, click here and scroll down the page until you see the model you want.

If I remember correctly, you are not to use it to refresh the batteries used in the D300 and other models using the same battery. I purchased one for use with my D200, and wondered about this feature to.
