New to Smug Mug and support pointed me to Digital Grin - A bit overwhelming so I thought a new post might help me find how to MAKE A GRAPHIC using photoshop. Thanks for your help!

Welcome to Dgrin, Dirk wave.gif. That's a rather large topic. Could you be a little more specific on what you are trying to do?

Photoshop Cafe ( http://www.photoshopcafe.com/ ) is a good resource of Photoshop info. Not the only one, of course, but one I've liked using. They have lots of tutorials online, that are pretty easy to follow/understand.

Thank you for your outreach Richard, I'm Grateful... As I'm new to SmugMug I'm trying to emulate a site desgin suggested by one of the Smugmug folks, in this case I'm modeling after http://www.moonriverphotography.com, they provided me with specific instructions, and I'm confident I can follow them. To build the site, I need a graphic that will replace the SmugMug Graphic and it is that replacement Graphic I'm trying to creat. In this case a similar graphic name " Moon River Photography" on the paged referenced above.

    Any Suggestions?

    Thank you Very Much.

I think so Lynnma - See my post to Richard's reply. Here are the specific instructions I'm trying to follow.

" Thank you for contacting SmugMug. We're so happy to hear that you're having fun! You've got some great photos! I love the one from sunrise at the arch. I was in Moab last fall and I'm mad at myself for not making it out to that arch for sunrise!

To be able to show off more of your fabulous photos while fitting on the screen have you thought of using an embedded slideshow like Andy: http://www.moonriverphotography.com/ or Barb: http://www.photoscapedesign.com/

    Here's a "How to" for Andy's site if you're interested: http://andydemo.smugmug.com/gallery/5568786_7mHz6

Creating a slideshow will help you size the photos so that they fit more monitors, better.

Hello Dirk and welcome to DGrin!

Since most website banner graphics are going to be based around text, I would start looking at tutorials on text in photoshop.
