Good low-loss polarizer filter?

I shoot almost entirely with a polarizer attached.

I got a new Nikon D90 and am looking at spending some serious money on a really good polarizer filter.

I have used a B+W on my Olympus E-1 with good results, but do any of you have any experience with the low-loss ones that don't take away 1.5 stops or whatever?

I think Sihg-Ray makes some.

Thanks, .......... Dave

The Singh-Ray "LB" series filters, where the "LB" stands for "Lighter and Brighter", do pass more light and allow shorter exposures than previous Singh-Ray polarizers, but I haven't seen exact comparisons to show how they compare to other polarizers. Singh-Ray make very good filters however.

Considering your comment in another thread about the blue cast from your existing polarizer, I suggest you might look at the ColorCombo version which may provide the colors you wish.

    Here is a review:

Alternately, if you are just looking for a "warmer" polarizer, one of the "Moose" polarizers might be what you are looking for.

Here "Moose" himself plugs his concept:
