Los Angeles Farmer's Market

In the middle of west Los Angeles sits a 75 year old Farmer's Market. Basically old and unpretentious outdoor markets and restaurants. Nice social gathering place for folks. Ironically, it's now connected to the "Grove" a very fake outdoor snobby shopping mall for the rich.
They have an old gas station and an old Ford Truck there so I took some shots of the truck and then around the market.
1. The Gas Station.
2. Does this qualify for the clunkers car program?
3. Ford, quality is job none.
4. Wash your windshield?
5. Funny grocery carts. Wish I had a polarizer but the reflections were too bright and overexposed.
6. Stools.

nice job on the old truck and I rather like the exposure on the green carts

You should come out and shoot with us more.
Hey Tom - you captured the essense of place well. I worked across the street from there 35 years ago and the place is still the same. My Mother grew up in that area and it really hasn't changed much at all and a lot of the original places are still in there. The grocery carts have been the same kind since they opened which is why they seem funny. The only thing different is that all the food stands used plates and real silverware and they had people to clear away the mess. I love to go and shoot people, food and the food stalls there.
