So I'm buying ad space in a playbill for the year (supposed to reach like 10,000 for $125) and I designed a couple different designs. really it's only 2 designs with some variations, but need help deciding, and yes they have to be in b/w. so I'd really appreciate the help in deciding. I agree. Simplify the copy a bit.

And, what's your main point? To get your name and contact info. out there? To point out the types of photography you're doing? or to emphasize the free print (which can be a bit deceptive if people don't realize they have to pay for the shoot)?

My preference is 2: your unique images statement, the photo (with the types of photography in small print) BUT - then connect your name and contact info and put the free print stuff at the bottom, smaller, less emphasis and with a disclaimer that limits the time AND explains that the free print is part of a paid photo shoot. You're leaving yourself wide open to abuse with any of these right now.

What do you mean limit the time? I know in a normal ad I'd say if purchased by such and such but this is an ad that runs for a full year so how do I limit the time for that?

Thanks everyone for the advise this is my first paid advertisement and I don't have an example of what everyone else does to look at (i looked at it once about a month ago and that's all I was able to do).

Sorry - I didn't realize it runs for a full year - but even so, perhaps you could limit the offer to Dec. 31st of the following year - just so someone doesn't try to hold you to it 5 years down the road when you're wildly successful and making buckets of money! clap.gif

Let us know how it all works out. I've been running a series of ads for several months now and I think it's driving viewers to my website - but hasn't resulted in many sales, yet.

I like the second 'set' better (the girl) ... the other image is good but seems to take a bit too long to recognize. The other is simpler, bigger, and bolder. Considerably more attention grabbing, imho.

Thanks all I ended up making my decision using the first picture and adding those little fine print details suggested. I decided since I'm trying to say i'm unique I needed to use the first image since the 2nd is pretty typical. thanks for all the help!
