While visiting the Lower Rio Grande Valley I really wanted to get more pics of these guys. On both ranches I visited I only saw one. Actually I only saw one on one of the ranches. He was very distant from my location so I couldn't get a shot off. To my delight though, while visiting the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, I ran into a flock of them, 4-5 adults and chicks. The adults were very wary and would not allow any good shots but the chicks were more obliging.
