Hello Everyone,
I am running an 8-core Nehalem MacPro, 12 GB RAM. I am trying to decide between two video cards to drive dual 30'' Apple Cinema Displays:
1. The Nvivida GTX 285 with 1 GB VRAM vs
2. The Radeon 4870 with 512 MB VRAM (with a dual-link adapter).
My primary use will be Aperture, PS CS4, and the Nik software suite.
Does anyone have experience with these cards? Any advice? I have the Radeon installed now, and the Nvidia should arrive any day.
Thanks for any and all input. I appreciate it!
Charles

I'd probably go with the 285, hoping it gets lets when Snow Leopard comes out.

Thanks, but yikes! It looks like neither the 4870 nor the 285 is a good choice.
Has anyone tested these head-to-head with CS4?
