Based on my trip last week to Mazama Ridge, I knew I had to return this weekend for the peak wildflower experience and it did not disappoint. As some of the other PNW shooters have already mentioned, the mountain was a no show and shooting was a bit challenging with windblown drizzle for pretty much the entire day.

It's hard to pick out just a couple from the 90 some photos I took..

And now for something completely different. I was evaluating the HDR options for a particular photograph but I forgot to rotate my +2 and -2 exposures. This is what happens when you process them without aligning them. Kinda cool!

Thanks for looking..

Fantastic images, Steve! I love how you were able to capture such a dense cluster of paintbrushes! Compositionally, that 2nd image is just perfect. clap.gif I can't make heads or tails of the last one. :D
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

#8 is great! I have many memories of wondering through those fields in the fog.

    Looks like the HDR guru:D

Thanks Dan, Aaron. I have to say the #3 has really come on to me as a favorite. I'd like to say that I intentionally composed that shot with the tree pattern repeating into the BG and fog but....I didn't. :D

Just a bit of good luck but some I'll gladly take!

Wonderful set of photographs. You imaged those wild flowers so very
nicely. Must have been a really nice day in the woods. thumb.gifthumbthumb.gif

Oh... Thanks for mentioning and showing the HDR mix up. Interesting failure. Looks like
doing so again could work out to be a cool tool.

The second shot is great with the path winding through the misty meadows.

The others are great as well. I'm looking forward to getting another try at the wildflowers up there when the weather clears up. All these shots are teasing me.
