I haven't posted anything in a while so I hope I'm doing this right.

I love this shot. The processing is just right.thumb.gif

My efforts to shoot hay bales this year was ruined when they were all wrapped in white plastic. Giant marshmallows!headscratch.gif

You sure did do it right.

Very nice, great comp, the split wrap adds to the image

Excellent shot, Dale. The atmosphere is really great. clap.gif Whenever I'm driving along a country road, and I see one of these fields, I always have to stop and photograph it. :D

I prefer to find a slightly higher vantage point so there isn't as much overlap of the hay bales. On this shot, I may have moved to left a little so the big FG hay bale didn't overlap with the one in front of it. But hay, I wasn't there and you man not have had much room to move (the Hay pun, albeit bad, was intentional :D)
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

I've seen those. Not a good subject.

Thanks. My daughter likes the red in the wrap.

Looks fantastic to me. I love the mood created by the fog.

    Thank you.

Thanks for your comments. To tell the truth I did not consider either when I took the picture. I do agree that it may have been better. There were new bales out this afternoon when I drove by. If I get to take another before they are gathered I will try to remember your suggestions.
