12Mb upload limit.

I have made an action in Photoshop to convert from my usual TIFF files to jpeg for upload to SM. I'd like to keep the file sizes as near to the 12mb as possible, but not sure of the best way to do it. Currently, the action converts to jpeg, and when saving, I have selected Quality 11, which gets the majority of photos well below the 12mb limit, but some are over 12mb, so obviously won't appear in SM. Anyone think of a way where I could drop the quality maybe to 10 or below if the file size is above 12mb? I can of course do it individually, but looking for some way of batch processing lots of photos together. I could do it as it is set up now, and then pick out the ones above 12mb, and drop the files size individually, but just wondering if there is a better way. How do others do it?
Thanks

Why not just do them all at quality level 10? I'd challenge you to find a file that you could tell the difference between 10 and 11 either on the web or in print. And, you'll save significant upload time too.

Yes, you're probably right, especially for web use, but I was hoping to maybe store them as well, as near to original size as possible. However, I think I might be looking for something that's not attainable! :D
    Thanks
