Meteor Shower and Sunrise
All are taken in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Went up to Moraine Park this morning to watch the meteor shower. Girl-friend and I arrived around 2am. I went and set up the camera for some long exposure astro photography, my first attempt a doing so then we curled up on rock and stared at the sky. We saw quite a few meteors, though the moon was really bright thus blocking the majority of them I think.
This First one here is a 30min long exposure. I guess I'm not used to leaving my camera while it is taking a picture because I remember framing the shot then, my absent minded self, put the lens cap back on before walking away..just out habit. Pretty stupid I know...so here is a wonderful thirty minute long picture of the back of my lens cap. I must admit it is a pretty good looking lens cap...
I decided to take the cap off for this one! This one is about 20min long.
Here's another one just for fun of my car.
The next one is from sunrise this morning:

Just kidding. That sunrise shot rocks my world! Well worth the effort I'd say.
