This evening, I had a relatively clear view of Mt. Baker. So, I decided to get my long lens out and take a few snaps. Here's my best from tonight. Enjoy! :D

This is absolutely ridiculous!!! How long of a lens do you need for this? I can see Mt. Baker from where I live, here in Kirkland but it just looks like a dot on the horizon.

Thanks, Danny! This was taken with a 600mm lens. The evening was exceptionally clear last night, so I just had to take the shot. :D

I love where I live, as I have a good view of Lake Washington, Mt. Baker, and the Cascades. I'm also just 7 min from work, without having to use the freeway! :Dwings.gif

Awesome (the photo, the fact that it was clear enough for you to see, and that you're using a 600mm lens). I drive on the I-90 bridge every day and it's very rare to have that clear of a view of Baker.

Though I must say I'd be a little more impressed with a 16mm grizzly portrait than a 600mm landscape :D

Thanks, Ron! As you know, right after a storm, the visibility is pretty clear as long as the skies are free of clouds. That evening was one such day.
    rolleyes1.gif Ya, I wanna see a close up shot of a grizzley with a 16mm too! :D
