It has a very dreamy feel to it. Cool image. The only down side is the lack of contrast against the sky, but that works with the pp you've chosen as they just kinda fade out. Good choices!

WOW - the blue just pops in this photo with a little orange/red on the reels. Nice photo and good editing too thumb.gif Looks like an Orton, but not really sure..so if it is you did a good job on it. As for the sky...it doesn't bother me at all. My mind is seeing fog :D

Appreciate your nice comment Mary Kim. :D
I was pleased with the blue too. There is just a very slight Orton
Effect. Just barely but I think it works for this image in getting that
bit-o-fog look for the sky as you mention. Michael

A very slight Orton can give you that foggy look. Good choice as I think it helps much better then trying to add fog a different way.

    Howdy Michael,

Really like the look and feel of this one, and the blue is just so pleasing to the
    eye.

Gray choppy water and an overcast sky are horrible conditions, but you pulled it off. I also like the colors, composition and the "Orton". You can create the same effect in Lightroom 2 by moving the Clarity slider to the left, creating a negative value. The effect works very well on this pic. Nice choice.

    Michael,

Several things to like in this image.

    Perspective
Colors ~ the blue & the orange on the reels
Processing ~ I like that the rods melt into the grey sky. The rod guide wrappings now stand out.

    I'd say you've created a nice image thumb.gif

My thanks JPC. It was a difficult day on many levels. Being ill 3 out of 4 hours
wasn't my cup of tea. I don't do sea well even on a 50 ft. boat.

Nice of you to say "pulled it off". Sometimes good things can come from a
    iffy shot.

Clarity slider... nice point and will have to check it out. :D Michael
