I cannot get Smugmug to play nicely with Facebook. It asks for special authorization (unlike any other application or website I've used). Sometimes it says I must be logged into Facebook for it to work (I was), sometimes it says it's posted, but it never is. It just plain doesn't work. Ever.
I've requested help from the "heroes" at smugmug and the response has been "It works for me, sorry it doesn't work for you." then the sound of crickets. After escalating, I exchanged a few emails with the developer, who apparently just got bored of dealing with me.
I can share from Picasa, WSJ, IBD, Reuters, MSN Money, and Flickr with zero problems. The smugmug app is the only one that gives me problems.
Setup: Current MacOS on G4 powerbook, with current Firefox and Safari (same issues with both) and also Current MacOS on quad xeon Mac Pro. Nothing special in the setups, either s/w or h/w. Simple mug works, but is uncontrollable, and the exporters from Aperture to both FB and Smuggy work fine.
Any hints? Is it a configuration issue?

No, he's still working with FB trying to figure it out. We're gaining on it, Fish, hang in there.

I tried using the FB Social Networks feature to post a picture on my profile and to send a message to a person. Neither function worked. All my friend got was a notification from Smugmug w/my customized note, but there wasn't any link or picture attached. And when I tried to post a picture to my profile, it never showed up. Am I missing something here?
I was signed into FB at the time. It's a public gallery that I'm sharing from.
Thanks!
Steph
