In and around Yosemite

Had a short trip in and around Yosemite coming back from a shoot.
Traveling through the park on Rt 120 hoping for bear or coyote, I spotted a great looking creek with the peak in the backgrounds. I purposely avoided the tourist area (valley) where the main photo ops are for most people.
The weather was near perfect, under 90 degrees the two days that I was in the area.
The moon setting behind the mountain here was perfect, although it really takes a large print to appreciate it.
The ghost town of Bodie was the next stop. There are rumors that this park will close this year as part of the budget crisis.
The site was home to nearly 10,000 people in 1880 most following the gold strikes, and fell to just a few hundred after strikes in Nevada and Utah.
Only 5% of the town is still there today. It is a must stop for anyone who visits the Yosemite area. Be sure to take water and food as there is nothing at the park itself. Gas is outrageous near the park also, so plan ahead.
