Hi everybody, this is my first post here.

This is Benji, friends' son. He's 4 months old and very cute. Here's a quick photo of him while he's asleep in mummy's arms.

I like the softness of the light. Window light or flash?

If you were setting up this shot, I'd do it on a simpler couch, since the patterns on the pillow and the couch are distracting from the face. But given your situation, you did a nice job.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. For the lighting, I used an on-camera flash bounced off the ceiling to the right of the subject. That softened the light and gave it direction. That cushion cover is a little distracting and if I hadn't burned it, it would have stood out more.
