Ok sorry I have no idea where this question would go so I put it here.

Question is: what is the down side to buying fantasy cloth for backdrops? They seem to be a lot cheaper and if I can place them over a dark colored backdrop will it serve the same purpose?:dunno
Thanks!
Courtney

Fantasy cloth would be fine for some things. What are you planning on shooting on the background? Any kind of formal portrait, say for a annual report, business card, headshots would need to be on black or brown seamless. I know it is expensive but it really is worth it.

Fantasy cloth is good for child's portraits, senior portraits and depending on what color you get bridal portraits. But guys usually don't look good on it. But seamless works everytime.
