Geese at sundown

I have shot this for a specific purpose and I could really use some feedback from all of you who are so much more "seasoned" than myself. I'm wondering if it seems too saturated (it was taken at sunset, so the colors were warm to begin with). Also, how's the comp? Any feedback is much appreciated...Thanks, Karin

    It's a very nice capture Karin. Some of the blacks are clipped and consequently you have lost detail in those areas. You might try to reduce the contrast and/or increase the exposure in the shadows. I would also consider a different crop since the upper portion of the photo does not imo add to the aesthetic value of the image. Finally, I would consider lowering the sat.

    The crop helped. I'm thinking you may have blown out the red channel, so it's understandable that a little detail is missing.

    Beautiful image, Karin! The crop and re-edit are even more beautiful. clap.gif The shot does still look just a bit too warm on my monitor.
    Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

    Thanks Mahesh...I'm still playing with it to see if i can get the right balance. It looks alright on my monitor, but I have 2 other computers to view it on, to see how they compare.
