Not sure what kind species of fly this is though. Any ideas?

WOW! Tack sharp, the bug is framed by the plant, and the background has nice, soft contrast with the bug. The water droplets just make it even better.

I am quite fond of this image too! I shot this during a beautiful sunrise over a lake I was shooting. But sometimes it pays to look in the bushes as well and a little crawling around in the dirt never hurt!

A hoverfly, thats what I was thinking, especially after seeing the color of the eyes and body. Thank you

I'm really digging the water droplets, but all I can think of is how annoying that would be to have water sitting on your eyes. Either way, great capture.

Thank you! I don't think it would be too comfy either, but he didn't seem to mind
