while driving through the outskirts of Leavenworth, WA, on my way to do some shooting for a river rafting company, i came across these two blackies foraging in the brush alongside the road. looks like a mom and a juvenile "teen-age" young one... anyway, i coasted past and stopped about 20 yards down the road, and got out to snap some shots. they didn't seem at all concerned about my presence, and were in fact much more interested in the cyclists that were approaching from farther back in the direction i'd come from. a few seconds after i shot these, they disappeared back into the underbrush... 40D, 220mm, 1/100 @ f/8...

Very nice....It would be surreal for me to be driving along and see some of these on the sound of the road. I usually see armadillos. rolleyes1.gif

Great shots. One thing for sure in South West Scotland no chance of seeing anything like that although we do have the Loch Ness Monster. But believe me I have never seen it and I don't think I ever will.
