Funny Honey(eaters)
I spent the day, on and off, shooting the new holland honeyeaters in our yard. The various poses that these little fellas give are always amusing. Enjoy.

Thanks Ric! They are cool birds indeed. They have a full-blown scout/alarm network going on in the garden too. Nothing gets by them at all. And they are happy for me to get close if I am making a bit of noise but if I am trying to be stealthy they go nuts!

Hey, more excellent shots. Some of these could do with a bit of contrast adjustment, but they are all great keepers.
That Japanese (actually from Brazil) needs to be removed as they are a priority weed - particulary the fruiting females as pictured.
Thanks Enduro. You mean the washed out ones need more contrast? The Japanese? the tree with the berries it is sitting in? That is not in our yard, so we can't touch it! It hangs over our fence. Mostly natives in our yard.
