File Sorting

In my galleries, I'm running into a problem with the sorter........:scratch

I have all my galleries to sort by file name, asending.

Recently, I'm finding that my galleries are now not following that setting.

Here is a sample of my file naming sequence:

071709_D_1-105.jpg

What is happening is that file 1-9 will be in order, then it jumps to 101 and finishes that group, then comes back to file numbered 2, and then repeats that order for the rest.

Never had that issue with sorting by file names until just recently......:huh


Can someone please advise a corrective action for this??

Sorry for the issues. It's looking like the numbering system you are using will cause us to sort in that odd way.

If you have less than a 1000 images, try using at least three characters and add leading zeros to up keep the images in order.

Something like this:
071709_D_001-105.jpg
071709_D_002-105.jpg
071709_D_003-105.jpg

We've had several requests for a more nature file sorting like you are wanting.

Ok...here is a inside hint to why I number the way we do......

Date_Type of track_Shooter ID-file number

So...if I was to add the double zero's before the ID number, are you saying then the numbers after the dash will stay in sequence?? or not??
