Missing photos?

Hello,

While I have always had an issue with the speed of smugmug (from any network here in Florida) the photos have always loaded.

I work at a major managed hosting provider with a 10gb pipe here in Miami, The performance issues I've seen I think are not network related but rather related to other things such as server load.

After the upgrade last week, things seem faster. I will have to wait and see if it stays that way.

My issue right now is missing photos

Take a look at this gallery:

As of right now I see a broken link for anything past the 10th photo in that gallery, and this is just one of many galleries I am having this issue with.

I am about to start offing my portrait work (not the model stuff) exclusively though Smug, so I hope this issue can be fixed.

Greg, all photos show for us. I'm in NY and your site loaded in sub second time. Please clear your cache completely, close and reopen your browser and let us know.

As to the speed issue, if you suffer any slowdown, please write our Support Heroes and we'll do some diagnostics with you. We care deeply about speed, evidenced by the fortune$$$$ we've spent on our network, and CDN (via Akamai).

Hey Andy thanks for the fast reply as always ;)

I will keep that in mind next time I see a slowdown.

The issue I am having loads is on my Mac, PC, and my iPhone so I am doubting its a browser cache issue.

The thumbnails in the gallery load fine its when I click on any of the images past the tenth in that gallery in other galleries it may be on the 5th or more .. or the 13th etc.

So you can load the large version of the girl with the tiger?

Thanks, hmm I'm wondering then what the problem can be.

As I stated I am unable to see it on 3 different systems, yet I can see the first ten shots on all three systems, from a clear cache. hmm

    Very odd

Ok I think I figured it out, thanks for helping me troubleshoot this.

I worked on what the most common denominator was, I normally dont work through the wireless network here and today I am, all three devices were going through the internal wireless router here. One (or more) of the IP adresses returned from your imaging servers is being blocked by our wireless router (for what reason I dont know, maybe an old stale entry) anyhow I hooked up to the wired connection and voila I can see all the pictures again.

Hooked back to wireless and went back into the black hole for "some" of the pictures.

Thanks again Andy, an important part of troubleshooting is to get some reference from the outside.
