Last Nights storm!!!

I was sitting on the back porch, enjoying a adult beverage:1drink and listening to the rain hit my metal roof over the back porch. Well all of a sudden this CRACK!!! STOOOD me up in a hurry! A large tree just 15 foot from me was hit by lightning! The lightning was the loudest crack as it came down! There was parts of the tree shot everywhere! Some as thick as 1". After the storm a neighbor and I was looking into the damage and found that some of the large pieces were shot into the front yard even!
I have never had lightning hit that close to me. My heart raced for an hour after this event. I am just glad I was ok.
Here are a few shots of the tree. Sorry for the quality these are just for story telling, not photo critique.
