I've been trained by a couple different mentors, and both of them had the bad experiences with organizations and have advised me not to join any because they don't do anything for you.
Do any of you belong to groups like the PSA, or PPA or any type of group or organization? What is your take on them and which do you find you get things from.

I'm in the PPA. I don't mind them because it's low cost and it provides me a free monthly magazine, Some legal forms, indemnity trust (contract dispute assistance), Marketing ideas and guidance, etc
They now also have a decent discount on apple products and products from other places.
They have places for equipment insurance, liability, health, etc.
In all I find it is worth the cost.
