OK, this is just my second e-shoot (the first didn't go all that great) and I would like some advice on how to do better. Any and all advice is very appreciated...especially that having to do with PP. Thanks so much....

1. The truck is a real big deal to them...lots of sentimental value to both of them

3. A serious look

4. These two did much better when not posed. They stiffened up whenever I gave to much direction.

6. I need help with this one. What is the best way to get that stupid clothes line out of the picture?

11. Rings on the grill of his truck. Had a hard time getting the rings in focus.

12. My fill flash did not fire on this one leaving her eyes a little dark....:(

    some nice shots in there.clap.gif

    1) I would go tighter on the crop losing some of the right negative space as and only include a little past the headlight on the left. I don't like the truck but that's neither here no there.

    2) nope..angle is not working for me.

    3) The difference in shirt colors is bothering me. Also his distant look doesn't seem appropriate.

    4) she looks stiff thought I love the couples choice of clothing now

    5) better then 4!

    6) the best shot! could use touch more fill to get back some of the detail in his shirt

    7) 2nd best shot! though the vignetting is bit strong so you lose the guys shirt/arm in the lower left hand corner.

    8) looks a bit soft and his shirt is bit too exposed now for my taste. Again the distant look is losing it for me.

    I like 10) and 11) as well =)

Thanks so much for the feedback! I totally agree with you on #4 now that you pointed that out. Not sure I will include that one now...Thanks!

I like your images! They're a gorgeous couple, so I'm sure that made things a little easier and it seems like they loosened up after a while of shooting. So good job! Here's my take:

    1. I like the concept, but I think the shot needs to be a little tighter.

    2. Makes me dizzy, too much of an angle

    3. Honestly, I keep looking at her boob. I think its because of the exposed skin on her arm fighting for attention, but that's where my eye goes. Definitely not my fav. But maybe try cropping a little above her chest area to minimize the arm showing as much and draw attention to her gorgeous face.

    4 & 5... I like 5 much better than 4. Much more natural.

    6. Great Shot! I LOVE this one! And honestly, I'm not looking for a clothesline. My eyes goes straight to them.

    7. He seems a little washed out in this one.

    8. Why isn't he looking at the camera? I like the overall shot though.

    9. Cute shot. His forehead seems a little bright to me.. But maybe its my screen.

    10. YAY! His eyes!! I like this one.

    11. Great concept, but I don't know about the white gold rings on a chrome fender. They seem to get lost to me.

    12. Aside from the dark eyes, I'm sure they'll love this one. It shows personality. Can you fix the problem in PS?

    13. I know they'll love this one. Have you tried it in B&W?

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I think #3 is going to be a throw away. Good idea for #13!

#7. A lot of your poses look too serious. Almost angry.

Yeah I know what you mean. they actually wanted (and ended up liking) them that way. GO figure.

I will jump in .... wah ...oooh

    #1 like it.
Now take this shot and play w/ the front of the truck.
    Meaning:
1.shot from waist down and couple lean against the side of the truck very close to the front.
    Camera at waist hieght.

    2. Now move couple in front of truck.
Have couple in a close cuttle position - girl leaning on him - girl back to camera. Guy is facing toward you/camera.
do some shots close and very wide w/ truck off center to one side.

What about him in front, leaning on front truck - arms crossed or hands in pockets - relaxed.
She is in truck on passenger side. She can be looking or playing w/ hair.
shoot w/ 50mm from waist to just above his head - close and narrow dof - f2.2 or something to blur her and he is razor sharp.
    He is slightly off center.

Same shot w/ her laying back on the hood....

What about the back in the bed.
Set up a picnic w/ table cloth and basket - the full deal.
He is leaning against the back sitting w/ legs straight out and play w/ her in different positions.
You shot from straight back, side - from inside out the back window towards the bed.

    just some thoughts...
    anyway;

The rest of the pictures they are okay.
They just feel out of sync.
    I like #7 and #11.
good idea for ring shot - just bring it in tighter....

Was the mean shot meant to look tough?
    it fell a little short.

    Choice of clothing looks good.

Agree w/ most of previous posters.

    just my 2 cents.....
    keep shootin'

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, lots of great information there. I really need to work on more creative posing for sure. You clearly have tons of ideas....I did actually try and get her to lay down on the hood but he VERY quickly said no. He was afraid to dent the hood.
