Nice shots, Ben! Those West Coast Herons, some different looking birds from our kind..................or the other day there was one like ours. He is a juvenile. I have a kind of bad shot of a very small NH here, it is so small I just knew it had to be a baby. The coloring was the same as the adult, though.

I did work it up, but the shot is only interesting in ID a bird, and I am not sure that the perspective is the same as "being there", with the other birds to compare it to. The adult was there but not close.

Love the flight shots, too. I am working on those.

Jeff, how do you like his camera? Is it THAT different? I shoot with a 300 Prime lens and an extender. I read last night that I should have bought a 400 Prime instead. I don't have the means right now, and I won't for a long time.

Also, the man who wrote the book I am reading, a library book, but I am going to buy one.............when I have to return this one. Anyway, he shoots birds with a 600, mostly. He, of course, has many different lenses. His name is Moose Peterson. I also think he has a web site: can't find it in the bk rt now, but he does. I need to bookmark it.

I am drooling over the new equipment on this forum: Harry's and yours. They say it is the photographer, not the equipment, but without certain equipment some things just aren't going to happen. (Now, no camera at all, that would be really bad,rolleyes1.gif , have to count my blessings here, before I lose them, or something)

Have to catch up on both your latest posts, then figure out how to fix the fact that I am bumping my post below all of yours.headscratch.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
