Simple uploader problem

No doubt on this end as there are no other posts here about any issues with the simple up loader.
When using either IE or Firefox, when I try to use the up loader, it quickly appears to load about 50 photos. The it starts erroring out every one of the next photos. Then my computer will literally freeze up and I have to reboot. Nothing gets loaded from the first fifty or so files. At one point my firewall showed about 50 connections open. It appears to be opening a connection for every photo it is trying to load.
As long as I don't use the simple uploader, everything loads fine, but much slower. I tried to for three days in a row, and every time it means rebooting my computer.
Any ideas?

Thanks, just emailed them.
Andy,
This process is not working well. On top of waiting several hours between responses, I keep getting asked to check my Java plug-in. According to Sun, I have the latest update on both of the computers that I am trying and they are both locking up. This has been communicated several times......
The email ping pong is not an effective way to respond to the issue since when we respond back it goes to a general email address and not to the person already working on the issue
Not sure what to do next, but since it is happening to multiple computers I now have to believe it may be on your end. And from the other thread on this page it now appears others are in fact having problems with the loader.

Just wanted to publicly say thanks to all the heros for sticking with the issue. It was Kaspersky causing the issues.
Thanks!
I'm sorry we didn't get to that line of questioning faster.
