awesome, how did you accomplish this feat? I have tried SP before so I know how hard it is.

Wow Randy this is a pretty sweet shot. How did you set this up? The lighting is great.

Only nit is the camera hiding in the grass.

Is your left hand hiding a remote control by any chance? Lol, I tried an SP the other day and my remote wasn't working. Needless to say I was definitely sweaty after 30 minutes of running back and forth to focus on my light stand, take it out of the frame, run back in to approximate where the stand had been. All in 10 second timer.

    This looks real nice!

Really nice. I can never do a self portrait. Definitely need to get a PocketWizard for the camera and try it out some time.

Really, really nice job. bowdown.gifbow My only possible nit is that the camera placement is a little... er.... well, let's just say I'm not sure I would have put it just there at that angle with a long lens on it, but maybe that's just me rolleyes1.gif

Seriously - VERY VERY impressive SP. Getting a bg bokeh shot with a sharp face as an SP is next to impossible (believe me I know - it's my Holy Grail and I haven't quite managed it yet rolleyes1.gif)

Thanks Sandy. The zone focusing is pretty effective....there's still a lot of luck as with any SP attempt :)

lol yeah I've gotten a bit of ribbing about that. I didn't even think when I did because I had just hurt my right shoulder a few days before the shot and that was the most comfortable way to hold the camera kneeling that way.... .... That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! :D
