I debated putting this in the wildlife forum. However, I really love the sky in this shot and since I'm a landscape photographer at heart, I ultimately decided to post it here. Enjoy!
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

WOW!! You're right to love that sky, Mahesh!
I'd say with an image this gorgeous, you could put it in the Wedding forum and no one would complain!

That sky's a super background for the bird.

Thanks, Nyte! I have plenty of eagle shots, but few with a background like this. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Adam! The PP was pretty easy...a little curves adjustment and some fill-light and voila!

Thanks, Schmoo! Every so often we see beautiful purples in the sky...not so often is there also an eagle perched in the FG with it's mouth opens.

Thanks, Awais! I think the eagle was saying...hurry up and take the picture already, while the light is still good!

In Alaska, these are the chicken. Plus it was shot at sunrise, so the title seemed appropriate.

Only thing I'd suggest is cropping a touch off the top and the left so it's a touch tighter and the bird is more off center.
It's a nice shot.

Thanks, Ron! Next time I go to photograph eagles, I'll let you know. I'll probably go for bears next.

And yes, I have to agree, this is an amazing eagle portrait. Just wonderful.
Where are you going for bears? Alaska again? I want to do the Katmai bears during the salmon running season some year.

/Envious.
Although I'd need the Nikon equivalent if anybody's got a spare/unwanted one they're willing to sell for a fraction of the price they cost new.
