You just can't beat the Oregon Coast for lighthouses...ok maybe people living in the east coast will argue the point. :D

    Beautiful image Mahesh,

But the color looks a little flat for my personal flavor. Did you desaturate a little for this look?

Thanks, Randy! Now that you mention it, I could add a little more saturation, couldn't I? thumb.gif I'll do it and update the image. :D

OK. Upped the saturation a bit. What do you think now? I don't want to overdo it. The subdued look is from the quality of light that was present. :D

If subdued is what your intentions are for this image, I think you've got it. The first version was IMHO just flat color-wise. But keep in mind; I'm the one over-cooking the images (on purpose) that I'm presently processing, so don't let me influence you too much today :D ~ my senses could be out-of-wack...

Oh, and just a note: It's Randy not Ron ~ Ron is the good landscape photog ;-)

rolleyes1.gif Sorry about the name, Ron...I mean, Randy :D I had already corrected it before you posted the above reply. :D

I love the image. You are the master at taking a scene and finding a great perspective to turn it into a beautiful photograph.

Thanks for continuing to share with us.

    That's beautiful, Mahesh.

Can you tell me where that is? I'll be driving the Oregon Coast, South to North in a couple of weeks.

Hey man, you have some great landscapes, don't sell your self short. I still don't know what the hell I'm doing, hopefully in about 15 years I'll be closer, but that last 10% takes forever... :D

And Mahesh is the last person I would expect to misspell someone else's name considering how many people misspell Mahesh (I've probably been guilty of it too!).

Anyway, now on to the photo.... Awesome! Really like the subdued light pastel colors and some great detail in those foreground rocks. One of these days I'll visit the Oregon coast south of Cannon Beach, but for now, your photos will suffice :D

I kind of like how the colors look in this shot but I think it might need some more contrast or at least to be darkened slightly. Your composition is perfect, though.

Very nice shot Mahesh. I might be the one who would argue about which coast has the best.

Thanks, Ron! My suggestion is to take a week off and drive the Oregon Coast on your way to Redwoods NP. It's a great trip and you'll totally love the experience.

Thanks, Danny! Personally, I prefer the somewhat lower contrast here because of the way the original scene looked. I know it isn't spectacular, but I like the kinda subdued feel here. :D

Thanks, Dale! You won't get much argument from me. I've photographed the east coast myself...only trouble is the light is better at sunrise there :D
