Our Supreme Court a few days ago made a horrendously stupid ruling on the limits of eminent domain. The left-wing decided that tax bases are more important than individual property rights. You are no more important than the amount of money the government can take from you. And someone has an interesting idea on how to make this point hit home with one of the Justices himself.

While I do not know if this is a hoax or not, I sincerely hope it is not. And I want to donate funds: http://www.freenation.tv/hotellostliberty2.html

    Bush and Eminent Domain

How Bush used pulic funds and siezed private land to make $15 million
"Candidate Bush got the taxpayers of Arlington to spend $135 million toward building his team's stadium, yet the Republican party espouses keeping government out of the way of private enterprise. The Ballpark stands as a monument to what critics call corporate welfare, yet his party advocates reducing welfare rolls. The entire complex stands on land that includes 13 acres taken by eminent domain, yet when campaigning in rural Texas Bush told voters he would keep the government from seizing their private land for public use."

There are hypocrites on both sides of the aisle for sure. But I feel much more confident in voting for a party that tries to keep its hand out of my pockets and stumbles at times, than vote for a party who outwardly boasts how much of my money they should be taking from me for some vague, greater good. Higher taxes have never made me feel better off.

Bush took $600-large and turned it into $15-even-larger. Not bad work if you can get it. Aside from using eminent domain to make part of that happen I have no problem with people making money. Remember, the tax payers voted 2-to-1 for that to happen.
