I don't know what's up with SM lately, but I just loaded a "private" password protected gallery that isn't locked. Anyone can click on it and it doesn't ask for the password. People get really weirded out by this. Can someone help? Quickly, please? =)

Uhhh, ok, so I just had my husband try it from his computer and it asked for a password. So . . . I assume that after you log into a gallery a couple times, it recognizes your IP address and opens w/o password? This doesn't really fly well with some people. Lots of people these days want to KNOW without a doubt that nobody else can access their pictures from the internet. Do I have to explain this qwerk to all my clients? Or is there something wrong? Thanks again.headscratch.gif

    Hi Carrie,

If you are logged into your site, a cookie will remember that you logged into your private gallery and won't ask you for the password. You can check that it is password protected by using a different browser while logged out, e.g. if you are using safari as your main browser, try it with firefox while logged out.
