Locked/Private Gallery not Locked

I don't know what's up with SM lately, but I just loaded a "private" password protected gallery that isn't locked. Anyone can click on it and it doesn't ask for the password. People get really weirded out by this. Can someone help? Quickly, please?

Uhhh, ok, so I just had my husband try it from his computer and it asked for a password. So . . . I assume that after you log into a gallery a couple times, it recognizes your IP address and opens w/o password? This doesn't really fly well with some people. Lots of people these days want to KNOW without a doubt that nobody else can access their pictures from the internet. Do I have to explain this qwerk to all my clients? Or is there something wrong? Thanks again.

Hi Carrie,

If you are logged into your site, a cookie will remember that you logged into your private gallery and won't ask you for the password. You can check that it is password protected by using a different browser while logged out, e.g. if you are using safari as your main browser, try it with firefox while logged out.

Ha ha!! Stinkin cookies! I forgot about them! I tried while not logged in and from a diff browser and it still opened tho.
