looking at fault codes

I am having problems figuring out how to look at the fault codes returned by methods. I am using the PEAR library with php.
I borrowed by request function from SmugSSP.
I can get $res, which is fail. But how do I get the actual fault code?
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. I am new to php.
